Cindy sings some of their greatest award-winning songs from

the 1920's & 1930's.

the Great American Songbook.

Songs span from

the early 1900s-1960s.

composers and lyricists are:

Among the important composers and lyricists whose work is included in the Great American Songbook are: 

Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Harold Arlen, Johnny Mercer, 

Hoagy Carmichael, and Duke Ellington wrote both music and lyrics.

Songwriters who collaborated together, one writing music and one writing lyrics are: George and Ira Gershwin, Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart, Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, and Dorothy Fields and Jimmy McHugh, Burt Bacharach and Hal David.
